Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman in the DC MCU, will star in the movie adaptation of the graphic novel "Little Nemo: Adventures in Dreamland", directed by Francis Lawrence. This is reported by Discussing Film.

This series, authored by Winsor McKay, debuted in 1905 and is considered one of the earliest comics to have a major impact on the industry as a whole. The plot focuses on a boy named Nemo, who in a dream becomes a participant in amazing adventures.

However, according to Discussing Film, in Lawrence's version, it will not be about a boy, but about a girl named Nime. Jason Momoa will play the role of a giant monster that will help the heroine go to a mysterious camp in search of her father. The image of this creature will be created using image capture technologies and computer animation.

Netflix streaming service is going to fund the project. The exact production budget is not disclosed, it is only claimed that it will be one of the company's largest movies. A release date has yet to be confirmed, but the movie is likely to be screened in the second half of 2021.
