The ninth episode of "Star Wars" in the form in which it was once going to be movieed by director Colin Trevorrow, would contain a number of significant differences from the version that was eventually released. In the future, it was assumed that he would lead an army of deserted stormtroopers in the Battle of Coruscant. However, the main difference was the absence of Emperor Palpatine. Kylo Ren was supposed to be the main villain and the final confrontation was to take place between him and Ray. Moreover, the ghosts of Yoda, Luke and Obi-Wan would come to the aid of the latter. An attempt to return Kylo to the Light Side would not have been successful. Ray herself would not have become Palpatine's granddaughter, moreover, she would have found out that Kylo Ren was responsible for the death of her parents.
