Yandex named the top search queries for 2019. And yes, there is Kojima

Yandex compiled its list of the most popular search queries among USAs in 2019.

The top was not compiled by the number of requests, since then we would get topics that people have worried about for many years. Therefore, we used data on the growth in popularity of queries compared to the previous year.

According to the company, compiling these tops is always a very difficult job, so they start it in advance, calculating the results for 11 months. However, the result for December did not significantly affect the top, expanding only the items “people” and “events”. We are interested in everything related to games.

So, Metro: Exodus became the most popular game on demand, followed by Apex Legends, and PUGB Mobile closes the top three. In last place on the list of 10 items Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The company gave examples of search queries related to these games, so [hereinafter direct quotes] Death Stranding is “grandfather standing”, Apex Legends is “apex error, the memory cannot be read”, and the new Call of Duty, according to the classics, is “ call of dutti modern warfare 2019 ".

Our beloved Buryat Hideo Kojima is among the most popular people right after President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Craftsman made a budget motion capture hat in Dreams using scotch tape, thread and two dualshock 4

TannicAlloy is a man who rightfully proves that the Internet is powered by crazy geniuses. He is a fan of the Dreams PS4 builder, which in most cases creates games. He also made a self-made motion capture for capturing facial expressions, using two controllers, threads and scotch tape, and attached all this to the cap. He attached one controller to the top of the head, and the second to the back of the head; threads are tied to each of the nipples, which in turn are glued to the muscles of the face with tape. So they can read his facial expressions while gyroscopes in the controllers themselves determine the position of the head in space.

In order to read eye movements, he had to make the sticks more sliding. As the author of this creation says, this is not nearly the level of Death Stranding or any Naughty dog, but it is fun.

Borderlands 3 is deprecated on Google Stadia

Google Stadia issues keep piling up. This affected the release of Borderlands 3. The game contains updates released before October 24, which the developer himself wrote about on his official website of the game. Only at the beginning of next year will the game be able to achieve the same quality as on other platforms.

Image

The game currently has no endgame content, Mayhem 4 difficulty, and Takedown at the secret base of Malivana event. We won't see Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot expansion this week either. It will make it to release on Stadia next year.

The second unpleasant moment is that the game cannot be played at the promised 4K / 60fps. You can only play 4K with a frame rate of 30fps, and if you want to enjoy all sixty, you will have to be content with a resolution of 1080p. There is really nothing to marvel at. Although 4K / 60fps was the main feature of the platform during the campaign, we realized that this promise was far from the truth during the launch on Stadia Red Dead Redemption 2 and Destiny 2.

The only advantage is that the version of the game for the Google service is sold at a 35% discount.

A teaser trailer for The Forgotten City, a detective mod for Skyrim that has grown into a separate game, has appeared

The Forgotten City mod for Skyrim was a success. It has been downloaded over 2.5 million times and has won an award from the Australian Writers Guild. Now the mod has grown into a separate game, keeping the name.

In the game, we become a time traveler and find ourselves in the underground city of the Roman Empire. Every person who breaks some Golden Rule of the city dies.

Image

We have to survive the collapse of this mysterious utopia, explore locations and communicate with residents to learn the secrets of this city. The adventure will be non-linear, with a deep storyline, written characters, flexible role-playing system, and moral dilemmas. The game will expand significantly compared to the mod. A new city, characters will be added to it, and the old ones will be reworked. Also, more endings, riddles, soundtracks will be brought into the game, and its professional actors will voice it. The game will even change its engine so that it no longer has anything to do with Skyrim.

The game was going to be released this year, but the developer studio Modern Storyteller found a publisher who supported them with a hard coin.

They decided to improve the game and postponed the release. Now we will see The Forgotten City only a year later, in winter 2020 on PC and XOne.

The original mod can be found on ModDb, the Steam Workshop and Bethesda.net.

Capcom invites RE fans to become testers for their new yet unannounced game

Capcom is inviting Resident Evil fans registered with the Resident Evil Ambassadors to take part in a test of their new yet unannounced game.

One of the participants on Reddit told about this, saying that he received an invitation to participate in the test. The studio has previously used this service to test Project Resistance.

Fans are now hoping the unannounced project is Resident Evil 8, although many still believe Capcom is reviving the old Dino Crisis game.

Given that the Resident Evil series is now the main one for the company, it is possible that the theory about the eighth part is reliable. Although in any case we are pointing our finger at the sky.

Infernal Beasts: Enemy Trailer in Succubus

Since the events of the new game Succubus from Madmind Studio and the past Agony are interconnected, the new project will have enemies from the past hellish journey.

We were introduced to the Cherubim - a flying demon similar to Siamese twins and demoness Onoskelis - who, when attacked, experiences sexual arousal [whatever that means].

By the way, last week the developers began to send invitations to players for a closed alpha test. It includes one level, and many points have not yet been realized. They promise to add a censorship mode to the game, which will allow you to turn it on and off at any time so that the game is not blocked on streaming services.

Release date of the game is not yet known.

This was all the important news for the end of the week, stay tuned.
