Harrison Ford to star in a big-budget adaptation of a Jack London novel

Harrison Ford will play one of the main roles in the movie adaptation of the famous work of American writer Jack London "Call of the Wild." According to The Wrap, this is a large-budget project that is going to be financed by 20th Century Fox.

Chris Sanders, creator of the animated movie "How to Train Your Dragon", has been appointed director of the movie. The script will be prepared by Michael Green, formerly of Logan. Filming is expected to start in September 2018. The rental schedule of the movie has not yet been approved.

Recall that the story "Call of the Wild" was published in 1903. It tells the story of a dog named Beck who travels from sunny California to the Yukon, where the Gold Rush was raging at that time. The harsh new reality forces him to fight for his life, and in the end he becomes the leader of a pack of wolves. The work is devoted to such topics as survival, freedom and fate.

The story has been repeatedly movieed. The most famous were the movies of 1935 with the participation of Clark Gable and 1972, in which Charlton Heston played the main role. And the first movie adaptation took place back in 1923.
