12 less loud, but great projects from E3 2019

E3 2019 has come to an end. Compared to last year, it was quite powerful, at least due to the fact that many projects announced at E3 2018 just this year appeared before us in full glory. However, E3 2019 is not only about Cyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs Legion and Gears 5. We have collected smaller games from E3 that got lost in the information boom, but this does not diminish their importance.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

This is a reissue of the game released in 2013. It tells about a boy Oliver, whose mother unexpectedly died. When he cried, his doll came to life and it turned out that she was a fairy. She hands the boy a book that can take him to another parallel world called Ni no Kuni. There he will try to find his mother. The game will be released this fall on PC, PS4, and Switch.

Desperados III

This is a triquel of tactical action strategy brought to the exhibition by THQ Nordic.

According to the publisher, the third game is being made based on the spirit of the first part of the Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive series. The game is being developed by the studio Mimimi. Prior to that, she was engaged in tactical strategy Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, so the quality of the game should be top.

Desperados III coming out this fall.

Stronghold: Warlords

Also at the exhibition, the Firefly studio announced the continuation of its series dedicated to the castle economy. This time, the setting is set in the East. The key mechanic will focus on troop management.

We will command the mangol hordes, the Chinese and Japanese military. The locations include Chinese and Japanese castles and fortifications.

There are special military commanders in the game that can be recruited and upgraded. We will trust them to control and carry out various tasks, such as collecting resources, fortifying borders and producing weapons.

Games will be released on PC in 2020 on Steam. It will be fully translated into USA.

Code Vein

The game was supposed to be released last year, but its release was postponed. Now we will see Code Vein on September 27 this year on all current platforms.

Everything in the game will revolve around blood, it will allow you to use cool weapons, new skills and have an advantage in battle. Those who drink a little blood will soon turn into creatures called Lost - they are the main opponents in the game.

Outriders

Outriders is the new action movie from Square Enixe. It is developed by People Can Fly studio, responsible for Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm.

This project will be a cooperative shooter for three people (although no one bothers you to play alone). You create a character and find yourself in a world called Enoch here. Your task is to find the source of the mysterious signal.

The game is expected in the summer of 2020. Details - in winter.

Genesis Noir

Genesis Noir was announced last year. At the PC Gaming Show we were shown a new trailer for the game, but it didn't make it any easier.

The project still looks very stylish and noir. The developers themselves describe it as an adventure with an emphasis on exploration and procedurally generated art.

The events of the game tell about what happened before, during and after the Big Bang. We have to stop the expansion of the entire universe in order to save our love. Special emphasis will be placed on poetry, whatever that means.

The game will be released on PC, but it remains to be seen when.

El Hijo

The setting of El Hijo's stealth games is a spaghetti western in which we will play as a six-year-old boy who is not eager to enter the adult showdown with trunks typical for this setting.

After the bandits destroyed the house of the protagonist, his mother sent him to a monastery so that he would not live like a poor man. However, the guy escapes from there with the desire to find his mother.

We will be constantly hiding and also using different objects to distract adults. The developers say that there will be little mechanic, but they take the quality of work.

The game will be released this year on all current platforms.

Cris Tales

The game was described as a "love letter to the JRPG" during the announcement. We will take control of the girl Chrisbel, who travels with friends through time to overthrow the cruel Empress and save the world from impending disaster.

The turn-based combat system in the game has one feature - the magic of time. We will need to learn from the past to correctly act in the present so as to rewrite the future. The action will unfold in five regions. We are promised several endings. The game will be released in 2020 on Steam.

A demo is now available, which can be played for free until June 24.

Mosaic

If the cyberpunk shown in Cyberpunk 2077 seemed dark enough for you, then you should pay attention to the Mosaic project.

The action takes place in a cyberpunk setting in a city where it is constantly raining.

We play as a man whose lonely life is spent every day in routine activities in the middle of an ever gray and growing city. Every day you and the faceless crowd go to work, where you hang out until nightfall and return home to do it all over again. You are sometimes distracted from work by strange messages that will one day change your life.

The game is being developed by the Krillbit studio, responsible for Among the Sleep, about the nightmares of a young child.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the authors are going to meticulously retell the entire story of Goku hunting for dragonball and close some plot holes.

An action RPG awaits us, where we will not only fight, but also fish, train and explore locations together with other characters. We are also promised dizzying boss fights in completely destroyed locations. It sounds like a fairy tale, but why not believe it.

The game is being developed by the studio responsible for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm. The game will be released in early 2020 on PC, Xone, PS4.

12 Minutes

My personal favorite of the indie games at E3. 12 Minutes tells the story of a man who is stuck in a time loop and experiences the same 12 minutes at once. During a romantic dinner, the police rush in and accuse us of murder. We need to break this circle.

According to the developers, the game will be released on PC soon.

Blair Witch

This is a first-person horror movie based on you know what movie. The video shown at the Microsoft conference was initially accepted by people for the new Outlast, but they miscalculated. We will run with a lantern through the forest in 1996.

In the story, a boy disappears in the Black Hills forest. As a former police officer named Ellis who has a dark past, we will go to look for him and meet a lot of all terrible dregs.

Developed by the Bloober Team, known for the Layers of Fear series and the recent Observer. The game will be released on August 30.
