Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

As we assumed earlier, Scandinavia became the setting for the next Assassin's Creed, except maybe we missed the subtitle. The game will be called Valhalla.

The announcement took place during a stream, where the artist drew art for 8 hours announcing the setting. We were told more about the game itself in the cinematic trailer. There was even a hidden blade in it.

The main character of the new game is Viking Eyvor. The events take place in England in the 9th century, during the Viking raids. One of the main opponents of the settlers who arrived in the new lands will be Alfred the Great King of Wessex. We have to make raids, develop settlements, explore the world on drakkars.

The game is based on the legacy of Odyssey: the gender of the character can be customized, a personalization system with tattoos and coloring is available, branched dialogues. You will have two weapons available during the battle. The developer says he will show us one of the most realistic viking games.

In addition, Ubisoft's Twitter announced that a total of 15 studios are working on the game. First of all, this is Ubisoft Montreal and 14 other studios around the world. However, not all of them belong to Ubisoft Montreal and the place was found for outsourcing.

However, this is still impressive, because for comparison, 10 studios worked on Odyssey and RDR2. In total, if the previous game was played by about 900 people, it is now clear that more than 1000 employees are working on Valhalla.

The game will be released in winter 2020 on PS4, Xone, XSX, PS5 and PC as a Uplay and EGS exclusive.

Lance MacDonald runs Bloodborne at 60 fps

Youtuber Lance MacDonald, known to you for his findings at PT, made a patch for Bloodborne that makes the game run at 60 frames per second on the base PS4 build.

This version of Bloodborne feels like playing like Dark Souls 3 on PS4 Pro. But there were some drawbacks. Since the game is sharpened at 30 fps, at 60 frames per second, the speed of its animations has increased and the hero moves at a high speed.

Lance fixed this issue on PS4 Pro, where animations became smoother, although V-sync had to be sacrificed as the blogger was using forced mode.

Most likely, ideally at such a frequency, the game will work only on PS5, since according to Sony's promises, all games from the previous console will be launched on the next curling iron. This should definitely affect frame rate stability.

First details of NieR Replicant

Famitsu magazine published an interview with the developers of NieR Replicant, where they told the first details about their game. Recall that its full name is NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 ... This is a reissue of an old game. A translation of the interview has already appeared on the Internet.

The first thing that is noted is that there is enough new content in the game for it to be a full-fledged re-release, and not just a remaster. For example, the game's combat system will be redesigned to be more familiar to NieR Automata fans. Takahisu Tauru, senior game designer at NieR Automata, is helping with this. However, there will be no major changes as such in the mechanics.

The Japanese version of the game will feature the voice actors in Automata 2B and 9S. It is not known what role they will play. It's not even a fact that these will be their characters from NieR Automata.

All in-game songs and choral singing will be re-recorded from scratch and the overall soundtrack will be richer.

Recall that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 ... was released at one time only in Japan, in the rest of the world the game NieR Gestalt was released for PS3 and Xbox 360. She distinguished herself only by the main character, who was replaced from a young guy to a brutal guy. p>

The game will be released on PC, PS4, Xbox One. No release date yet.

British Mythology and Folklore: Maid of Sker

In Britain there is an old folk tale about the ghost of Elizabeth Williams. She formed the basis of the horror movie Maid of Sker.

The game tells about the musician Thomas Evans, who is looking for his beloved. In the courtyard in 1898, the hero arrives at the Sker House Hotel - a real place, which is the most famous haunted house in Great Britain.

This is a game with the classic mechanics of a defenseless hero, so you will have to hide from all otherworldly creatures. Artificial intelligence of enemies reacts to dynamic noise, so you have to move with extreme caution.

The people behind SOMA, Battlefield 1, and Don't Knock Twice are responsible for the script for the game, and Wales Interactive is developing the game.

The game will be released on PC, PS4, Xbox One in the third quarter of this year.

Well-known publishers donate games to British doctors as a thank you for fighting the coronavirus

The British Interactive Entertainment Association, with the support of Keymailer, is the organizer of the Games for Carers initiative. Under this program, doctors are given free games and in-game subscriptions as a token of gratitude for their fight against the coronavirus. The organizers believe that such a gesture will help doctors take a break from stress.

Already in the Games for Carers catalog, you can find 85 thousand of various games for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and mobile devices. More games are going to be uploaded there in the near future. Publishers such as Microsoft, EA, Devolver Digital, THQ Nordic, SEGA and many more are participating in the program.

That was all the big news at the end of the week. Keep calm and keep playing. And we'll see you next week ... In the next digests ...
