Head of Take-Two comments on Red Dead Redemption 2's PC release

Just two weeks ago, Red Dead Redemtion 2 was released, and the game has already become not only the most successful game product of 2018, but also has shown some of the best starting sales in the history of the gaming industry. And given the imminent launch of Red Dead Online, there is no doubt about the cloudless future of Rockstar. But what about the PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2? Strauss Zelnik, the head of Take-Two, the publisher of the popular western, decided to answer this question.

The issue of releasing the game on PC was raised at a Take-Two shareholders meeting. In a generally relaxed atmosphere, where the success and further cloudless prospects of the game were discussed, Strauss Zelnik felt like a fish in water, until one of the investors asked an uncomfortable question directly:

The original Red Dead never came to PC. But what can you say about the release of the second part on personal computers? Thank you.

After a long pause, Strauss Zelnik asked the investor to repeat the question again and, carefully choosing his words, answered:

When the time comes, Rockstar will tell you in detail about all plans for its current and future projects, including the release of games on other platforms. Therefore, at the moment I cannot answer your question more specifically, I apologize.

We can assume that no doubt Red Dead Redemption 2 will visit personal computers, but as in the case of GTA IV and GTA V, the release will take place after a long delay. Belief in such an opinion is supported by both the impressive sales of GTA V in the incentive (more than 10 million copies of the game sold and a constant presence in the current tops of the most popular games of the week), and the total profit turnover in the PC industry, which has increased significantly compared to 2010, when Red Dead Redemption is out exclusively for consoles.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was almost unanimously hailed by critics as one of the best games in history. Among the main advantages are the graphics, the plot, the rich open world and attention to the smallest details of the game. We liked the new western too, which you can read about in the RDR 2 review.
