Walt Disney to buy Warner's stake in Hulu
The Walt Disney Company intends to increase its already impressive stake in the streaming service Hulu by purchasing a stake held by Warner Media. According to Variety, negotiations on this matter are already underway. Note that Walt Disney owns 30 percent of Hulu, another 30 are owned by Fox, which in mid-March 2019 will de jure become the property of Disney, Universal owns 30 percent, and Warner owns 10. If the deal is concluded, then the combined share of Walt Disney will be 70 percent, which makes it virtually the sole owner. The amount of the potential deal was not disclosed.
