In total, the film F. Gary Gray earned $ 192.7 million , but still his main achievement is overcoming the mark of $ 1 billion in the world box office, where the picture now has $ 1.06 billion . Now the eighth part is included in the top five films-billionaires studio Universal along with "Jurassic World", "Fast and Furious 7", "Minions" and "Jurassic Park". In general, despite the share of negative criticism, the major has reason to be proud.  Quite unexpectedly, the comedy " How to be a Latin lover " started from the second position. The tape with Eugenio Derbes in the title role received just over 1,100 copies, which did not prevent her from mastering $ 12 million on her debut weekend. The film's success was further enhanced by the reviews of the first viewers who gave it an A rating on the CinemaScore website.  However, critics were not so supportive of the tape. While some considered the directorial debut of actor Ken Marino to be quite a movie with good jokes, most reviewers noted that the team tried to fit too many storylines into the timing of the movie, thus overloading it with unnecessary details.  But even more surprise for the distributors was the hit in the top five of the film that arrived in the US from India. The blockbuster " Bahubali: Completion " was released in only 425 theaters, but at the same time grossed $ 10.1 million - three times more than the first part two years ago. It is noteworthy that such a result allowed the creation of S.S. Rajamuli to show the best debut of all Indian films ever shown in the USA. And the critics, for the most part, were satisfied with the adventure drama. In particular, they noted the beautiful picture and spectacular special effects.  While the previous two top-5 participants pleasantly surprised distributors, the Sphere thriller from STX , on the contrary, disappointed. While James Ponsoldt's film met expectations financially, earning $ 9.3 million over the weekend, the low D + rating from viewers is not encouraging. On the other hand, reviewers reacted to the picture with less skepticism, and it even received positive reviews from the professional community. Ponsoldt , who previously gave film lovers the magnificent End of the Tour and An Impressive Time, remains true to himself here - his visual style is beautiful. However, in the thriller, which touches upon the topic of privacy so important today, the creators went too far with humor, but the detective component was not enough for the critics.  Closing the top 5 of the US box office was " The Boss the Baby Sucker " - the animation tape added $ 9.1 million to its asset, and now its total box office is $ 148.5 million .
