Naughty Dog and Sony have abandoned their plans to release The Last of Us Part 2 in May 2020. This was reported on the official Play Station channel on the Twitter social network. "Sony Interactive Entertainmen have made the difficult decision to postpone the launch of The Last of Us and Marvel's Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from delivering the level of premiere our players deserve," says in the statement.

Fans filled social networks with comments full of frustration, as usually the developers postpone the release of this or that game in order to make some changes, and in this case external circumstances prevented the distribution of the finished product.

Recall that in March 2020 it became known that the HBO channel intends to shoot a multi-part project based on its game and entrust this work to the creator of the Chernobyl mini-series, favored by the most prestigious professional awards, Craig Mazin. It was alleged that the screenwriter and creative director of "The Last of Us" Neil Druckmann will also participate in the work on the movie adaptation.
