The Artist's Creator Sends Jules Verne on an Adventure
Oscar-winning filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius decided to work for the benefit of French animation. As it became known to the publication Deadline, the winner of the Academy Award for staging the touching silent film "The Artist" accepted an invitation from the Paris studio Enormous Pictures to act as a screenwriter for the cartoon "Young Jules Verne" * (Little Jules Verne).The action of the animated film will unfold in 1839, when the future author of "Children of Captain Grant", "The Mysterious Island" and "Fifteen-Year-Old Captain" sets off on his first real adventure that will predetermine his future destiny. The original concept of "Young Jules Verne" was invented by Pierre-Gilles Ster and spouses Anne and Gerard Gero, who write under the pseudonym Ange. Khazanavichus will have to deal with further elaboration of the plot and design of the final version of the script. The cartoon will be directed by Regis Vidal and Didier Ah-Kun. Both already have experience in animation. The former directed the animated series Petz Club, and the latter was involved as a storyboard artist on such box office hits as Despicable Me 2, Minions and The Secret Life of Pets.
