The hunt is canceled
Over the past couple of weeks in the United States there have been three cases of shooting in public places. Instead of taking the tragedies in Ohio, Texas and California as a signal for tougher free arms laws, some Americans, led by President Donald Trump, have turned against the film industry and called Hollywood a mouthpiece for racism and propaganda of violence. The wave of popular anger led to the fact that Universal had to cancel the rental of the Okhota tape.This satirical thriller from Universal and the Blumhouse Studios follows 12 strangers who woke up in an unknown place. Soon they realize that they have become participants in the inhuman fun of the rich, having fun hunting people ... The film was slated to hit US screens in late September. On the one hand, the story of senseless murder is really hardly worth releasing against the backdrop of a national tragedy. On the other hand, canceling a release risks creating a dangerous precedent. This is not a documentary, but a feature film with a fictional plot. The constant cancellation of such films can lead to the fact that filmmakers simply stop touching on taboo topics and painful issues of modern society.  The further fate of "Okhota" is in question.
