Amazon will come to Middle-earth for a long time
Amazon has no doubts that the journey into the world of hobbits, elves and gnomes will be successful, and has issued an extension to the fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings even before the filming of the first season began.In addition to the good news, Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salk revealed the series' production schedule. The creators of The Lord of the Rings have already arrived in New Zealand and have begun building the sets. Filming will begin in the coming weeks. Director Juan Antonio Bayona will direct two episodes, after which the team will return to the United States. The footage will go into the hands of editing and computer graphics experts. When the picture is finalized, Bayona will assess whether the opening sequences need additional scenes. Meanwhile, the writing team will write the scripts for the second season.  The Lord of the Rings team will return to New Zealand in 4-5 months to film the second season and the remaining episodes of the first. Working on two chapters simultaneously promises dividends for both the creators of the series and the audience. The former will significantly reduce shooting costs, while the latter will see the continuation of the story much earlier than with separate production. Recall that the budget of the ambitious television project is estimated at $ 1 billion. The names of three actors of the series are currently known.
