J. K. Simmons will send his son to war with aliens
Oscar winner J.K. Simmons ("Obsession") and two-time Emmy nominee Betty Gilpin ("Glitter") have begun negotiations to film the sci-fi movie Ghost Draft, in which Chris Pratt has already been assigned the lead role. The director's chair for the Skydance and Paramount project is Chris McKay (The Lego Movie: Batman), while Zach Dean and Bill Dubuc worked on the script. Filming will start in September and will take place in Atlanta and Iceland.The action of the tape will unfold in the future, in which humanity is inexorably losing the war with aliens. To turn the tide, scientists are assembling a team of soldiers from the past. Pratt will play one of these soldiers, and in order to save the world from disaster, he will have to confront his own past. The source reports that Simmons got the role of the father of the protagonist, and it is still unknown who Gilpin will be reincarnated as. Yvonne Strahovski also joined the cast of the sai-fai.  Betty Gilpin has been in the spotlight this summer over the cancellation of Craig Zobel's The Hunt, a movie about the inhuman fun of the rich.
