Daniel Wu will interfere with Hugh Jackman
Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu, familiar to viewers from the films Geostorm, Tomb Raider: Lara Croft and the TV series In the Desert of Death, has joined a promising new project - Reminiscence, which we have already written about. The mixed genre will also feature Hugh Jackman (Logan) and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible: Rogue Tribe). The film is written and directed by Lisa Joy, who will make her directorial debut after a long period of executive production.According to the plot, in the near future a climatic disaster occurs in Miami: unbearable heat and endless night are established in the flooded city. The main character (Jackman) is a private investigator who immerses himself in the memories of clients in order to solve cases. When a stranger (Ferguson) approaches the detective, it soon becomes clear that the woman's brain hides much more than it seems. The detective falls in love with the client, but a rival (Wu) gets in his way, and the men become bitter opponents.  One gets the impression that the film will refer to the recognized classics in the fantasy genre: Blade Runner, Total Recall, Insomnia, Inception, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Lisa Joy already had a full picture of the future filming and shared her thoughts with reporters:“I know exactly what I want to see, including action scenes and ways to turn Miami into a flooded world. Working on my previous project was an incredible experience of creating a massive TV show on a budget that is far from the budget for full-length films. ” Before Wu's popularity in the American film industry began to grow, the actor had already become a sought-after star in Hong Kong and the Chinese film market. Wu was repeatedly nominated for the Hong Kong Film Awards, and in 2006 he received the award for Best Director. The participation of such talent in a high-budget film of the prestigious genre along with acclaimed Hollywood stars Jackman and Ferguson means that "Memories" has every chance of becoming a real hit.
