Peter Greenway will send Morgan Freeman to Italy
Morgan Freeman has agreed to star and co-produce in a new project by Peter Greenaway called Lucca Mortis. In addition to Freeman, the drama will be produced by Laurie McCreary of their company Revelations Entertainment, as well as longtime partner of Peter Kees Kasander, for whom this picture will already be the 15th collaboration with the renowned British author. Filming is scheduled to begin next March.In the center of the plot is a writer, whose main and last adventure in his life will be, apparently, his own death. He himself lives and works in the New York district of Little Italy, but, taking a sabbatical, decides to go to the real Italy, namely to Tuscan Lucca. There he will begin to explore his roots and fill in the gaps in his own life. Greenway is known to moviegoers for films such as The Books of Prospero, The Draftsman's Contract, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. Freeman received an Oscar for his supporting role in Million Dollar Baby and several nominations for this award for outstanding work in other films, including the iconic Shawshank Redemption.
