Kiernan Shipka goes on the run
The little witch Kiernan Shipka and Cole Sprouse, known for playing an eccentric guy from the troubled town of Riverdale, will be put on the international wanted list. The actors who previously contributed to the creation of Archie's television universe, starring in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale, will star in Aaron Katz's new project, Blood Ties.The plot of the drama, based on the publication of The New Yorker columnist Nathan Heller, centers around the brutal murder of an ordinary married couple in the suburbs of Virginia. Detective Reese Rezek, played by Gugu Embata-Ro, leads the investigation of a mysterious crime and tirelessly searches for those responsible. The heroine is gradually approaching the solution, discovering more and more gloomy details of what happened, and even finds two suspects. They are the daughter of the deceased spouses Lizzy (Shipka) and her boyfriend Jens (Sprouse). The couple, apparently inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, manage to escape from justice to Europe, thereby forcing Detective Rezek to open a real international hunt. The search for the truth will drag on for six long years, during which Reese will have to repeatedly question her findings.  Katz not only wrote the script for the upcoming detective, but will also lead the filming of the tape.
