Sandra Bullock will direct a series about her childhood

Image In Hollywood, an unusual trio has formed in the person of Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind"), Sandra Bullock ("The Proposal") and John Legend. The talented Academy Award winners will direct a musical series based in part on Sandra Bullock's college memories. All of them will act as executive producers. The finished project will be released on the Amazon platform.

Sandra was born in Arlington, Virginia. The actress spent her childhood in Germany and Austria, since her father was a military man. Bullock later returned to the United States and entered the University of East Carolina, located in North Carolina. The events of the series will unfold right here, in the South of the United States, in the era of the 80s, with its dances and songs. In the center of the plot will be a group of young people who decided to take risks and prove themselves when strict social norms reign around them. The series will touch upon various phenomena of the era: the popularity of drugs, mental deviations, as well as the AIDS epidemic.

The scriptwriter will be K.S. Perry (The Originals). John Legend will write music that encompasses popular 80s pop and gospel tracks. This project will be the first TV series to feature Bullock as an executive producer since the mid-2000s sitcom George Lopez. Miss Congeniality also recently produced her own film starring herself, Bird Box, which was released on Netflix.
