The 31st Producers Guild of America Awards have finished at the Hollywood Palladium, California. Over the past ten years, the PGA has predicted eight Oscar winners in the Best Picture category, so viewers have followed with particular interest the progress of the fight for the main film award of the evening - the Darryl F. Zanuck Prize for production of a feature film. The transparent statuette with the Guild logo and the title of the main favorite of the Oscar race went to the military drama "1917". In the categories for TV projects there was no equal to "Heirs", "Rubbish" and "Chernobyl". American film and television producers also presented honorary awards for their contributions to the development of the entertainment industry. This year's PGA special prizes went to Netflix Content Director Ted Sarandos, actress and producer Octavia Spencer, Plan B directors Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, Scandal creator and Friends creator Martha Kauffman.
