LaBeouf and De Niro in exile

Image In a world where comic book adaptations and expensive franchises are immensely popular, films with an original idea seem to be a wonder. When talented actors subscribe to the main roles in such a project, journalists begin to rub their hands in anticipation of something worthwhile. That is why they rejoiced when they learned that one of these paintings would make Robert De Niro and Shia LaBeouf related.

The crime drama After Exile is the story of Mike Delaney, who was imprisoned for murder during a robbery. After his release, the main character is forced to return to his former life in order to help his alcoholic father, who also served time in prison. They are united by one goal - to save Mike's younger brother, before whom a life full of crime and drugs looms. The tape is positioned as a drama about forgiveness, redemption and the relationship between fathers and children. Shia LaBeouf will play Mike, and De Niro will play his unlucky father.

The project is directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Jobs: Empire of Seduction), and the script was written by Anthony Thorne and Michael Tauvo, with the latter inspired by events from their own lives.

As journalists predict, this fall, both De Niro and LaBeouf will be in the spotlight on the part of film academics. De Niro will appear in The Joker and The Irishman, and LaBeouf can be seen in the semi-autobiographical drama Honey, dedicated to the actor's relationship with his own father.
