Riverdale star KJ Apa and Heirs franchise lead Sophia Carson will star in Michael Bay's upcoming pandemic thriller The Songbird. Filming began in Los Angeles last week - one of the first projects in Hollywood, work on which began after the lifting of quarantine and the introduction of new security measures.According to the plot of Songbird, two years after the start of the pandemic, motorcycle courier Niko (Apa), who is immune to the disease that has swept the world, meets the young artist Sara (Carson). To be with his beloved, the hero must overcome the restrictions of quarantine, overcome bloodthirsty and vengeful enemies, and in addition, earn the trust of a powerful and close-knit family under the leadership of the matriarch (Demi Moore), which will do everything to keep the usual foundations.  Apa is best known for his role as Archie Andrews in the adaptation of the eponymous comic strip Riverdale, and recently starred in his first feature film, I Believe in Love. His future project partner Carson is the face of the Heirs franchise and is also a popular singer with 18 million social media followers.
