Stephen Amell will trade arrows for wrestling leotards
Stephen Amell is not wasting his time: the audience has not yet had time to say goodbye to "Arrow", and the actor has already found a new television project for himself. It will be a Starz drama called Heels.The show, commissioned for an eight-episode first season, will be set in a tight-knit Georgia town. The family business of the two brothers involved in wrestling events is based here. Amell will play Jack Spade - a kind of villain who confronts his "good" brother in the ring. Outside of the world of wrestling, however, Jack is a hard-working entrepreneur, husband and father, trying to make ends meet and, through his participation in battles, fulfill his most incredible dreams. Jack can be described as a creator in the body of a warrior, but his obsessive desire for perfection and total control will lead to conflict not only with enemies who dream of getting the Spades business, but also with members of Jack's own family. Amell's nearly ten-year stint in the superhero world has surely prepared him to appear as a wrestler on the small screens. Moreover, over the years, Stephen periodically entered the ring himself at various wrestling events.  The new Starz series' off-screen crew consists of Michael Waldron (Harmon's Quest), who wrote the drama, and Mike O'Malley (Shameless), who was appointed showrunner for the project.
