Keira Knightley returns to TV
Online service Hulu presented viewers with many adaptations of famous works - just remember the series "11.22.63", "Catch-22" and "The Handmaid's Tale". The streaming platform is embarking on yet another project of this kind, this time adapting Suzanne Rindell's novel The Other Typist. The new drama will not do without a Hollywood star: Keira Knightley will play the main role in the series.The Other Typist is a psychological thriller that touches on the themes of self-determination, class, obsession and misplaced desires. According to critics, mixing the styles of Alfred Hitchcock, Patricia Highsmith and The Great Gatsby will create a Rindell novel. The book is set in Prohibition New York. The introverted bore Rose Baker works as a typist in the police. She takes shorthand interrogations of criminals, prides herself on her professionalism, but her life turns upside down with the appearance of another typist at the station. Odalia is the complete opposite of Rose. She opens up to her colleague a hitherto unknown world - the world of glamor and jazz. Rose is bewitched by the adorable Odale, but simple admiration soon turns into an obsession that can ruin her life forever.  Keira Knightley plans to play a glamorous Odale. For her, the role in "Another Typist" will be the first notable work on TV. Knightley last appeared on small screens in 2002. The actress will also act as an executive producer of the series, and Aileen Cheiken ("Sex in Another City") has been chosen as a screenwriter and showrunner of the TV adaptation.
