New Saw rental canceled due to coronavirus
Studio Lionsgate has decided to temporarily refuse to rent several of its promising projects at once. According to a press release received by the Novosti Kino editorial office, it is about the thriller "Saw: Spiral", announced on May 15, 2020, as well as the movies "Antebellum" (April 24) and "Run" (March 19 in North America, May 21 - in USA). The reasons are not specified, but it is clear that we are talking about a global revision of rental schedules in connection with the spread of coronavirus and the closure of a significant part of cinemas, as in North America and in other countries. Recall that the movie "Saw: Spiral" was planned to restart the popular series of horror movies. The idea for the sequel belonged to the popular American comedian Chris Rock. He was given the opportunity to assemble an impressive cast, which included Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, Zoe Palmer and other artists. New release dates for the above movies have not yet been announced. As a reminder, many major Hollywood studios have previously withdrawn their movies without specifying a possible release date.
