Amazon will plunge into a world of assassins: the management of the streaming platform has bought the rights to the script for the action comedy Shelly.Several online services and film studios participated in the struggle for the project, since Hollywood stars Karen Gillan and Aquafina have already been assigned to the main roles. Previously, the actresses starred together in the adventure film Jumanji: The Next Level. The screenplay by Elizabeth Gilbert and Michael Donger ("Escort") is described as a whimsical mix of Mean Girls and Barry. The film takes place ten years after Shelley Wheeler (Awkwafina) fell victim to a brutal prom prank. The girl left her hometown, tempered her character and became an elite mercenary. One day Shelley is assigned to kill her school tormentor Dianna Park (Gillan). Shelley happily takes on the mission, but the plan for revenge goes to hell when it turns out that Dianna has turned into the kindest soul of a person. The heroines Aquafina and Gillan become best friends, but their joy will not last long, because the customer has already contacted a new group of killers ...
