Best Friend's Wedding Continues on TV
The 1997 romantic comedy Best Friend's Wedding will receive a television sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Oscar-winning Ronald Bass , who also worked on the full-length original, will deal with the script for the new project, which has received shelter on the ABC TV channel.The plot of the film revolved around afriendly agreement, according to which Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) and Michael O'Neill (Dermot Mulroney) would have to marry if they were not fall in love with someone else. Not much is known about the synopsis of the series so far:the action will take place in New York, and the plot will focus on the life of Julianne , for whom George will be the main advisor and best friend (played by Rupert Everett in the original film).  Bass will also co-produce the tape with Jerry Zucker, who also worked on Best Friend's Wedding. The 1997 film, released by TriStar Pictures , grossed nearly $ 300 worldwide on a $ 38 million budget.
