Lobo returns to service

Image Long before the creation of its own cinematic universe based on DC comics, Warner Bros. studio was working on the blockbuster " Lobo ", based on the graphic novels of the publishing house. Many filmmakers came to the project, but did not stay for a long time.

Now the information portal The Wrap reports that "Lobo" has returned from oblivion, having received a new scriptwriter - Jason Fuchs , known for wrote lyrics for Peng: A Journey to Neverland and Wonder Woman. According to the source, the author will not rewrite the scripts of his predecessors, but will start from scratch.

The character was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen and first appeared in comics back in 1983. Originally, Lobo was an antagonist, intergalactic bounty hunter, and his popularity skyrocketed in the 90s when he became an anti-hero biker. What will be the screen version of Lobo is still unknown.

For the first time, information about the project appeared back in 2009, when Guy Ritchie intended to become its director. A year later, the filmmaker chose to shoot Sherlock Holmes: A Play of Shadows, leaving Lobo without a helmsman. After the failure of The Losers and Jonah Hex, also based on the comics, Lobo was sent to the shelf until 2012. Then Brad Peyton expressed his desire to lead the shooting, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson signed up for the main role.
