In June of this year, we announced that Universal is preparing a reboot of the 1990 comedy Kindergarten Cop . It was known then that Arnold Schwarzenegger would not return to the role of an undercover cop. However, as reported by Collider , the new project is not a remake, but rather a sequel to the original film. And, thanks to the shots from the set that appeared on the Internet, it became known that Arnie was replaced by his colleague in "The Expendables" Dolph Lundgren .The plot of the new film is in many ways similar to the plot of "Kindergarten Policeman" . Lundgren will appear in the form of a servant of the law, who goes undercover to school as a teacher. His goal is to find a flash drive with information about the witness protection program. Dangerous criminals are hunting her, and it is the hero of Lundgren who will have to save the day. The guy Sanjit will help him with this difficult task, and those very criminals will turn out to be the Albanian mafia. According to the creators of the sequel, the project is a mixture of comedy and action, but unlike most of Lundgren's previous works in this genre, Kindergarten Cop 2 will be a film suitable for viewing with children.  The comedy is directed by Don Michael Paul ("Neither Alive, Not Dead"), and the script was written by David H. Steinberg ("Puss in Boots"). While Universal plans to send the new film straight to DVD , but the studio bosses have not yet decided on an exact release date.
