Variety shares information that Jeffrey Robinov's company Studio 8 has acquired the rights to film and television adaptations of Hugh Howie's short story series Beacon 23 ( Lighthouse 23 ).So far, Studio 8 has launched a series based on the original series. Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ) will be written and executive produced by Josh Friedman . For centuries, people have been maintaining the lighthouses that ensure the safe movement of ships - a thankless job that forces them to be alone. Lighthouse keepers could only feel useful to the community when the ship was in distress. In the XXIII century, such lighthouses appeared in space. Now they are helping interplanetary spacecraft navigate the Milky Way. High-tech structures should not fail, but one day such a lighthouse endangers the lives of thousands of people ...
