The famous Australian cinematographer Andrew Lesney has passed away today at the age of 60, reports The Hollywood Reporter . The Sydney native made his big-screen debut as an assistant cinematographer for Patrick when he was a student at the Australian School of Film, Television and Radio . After graduating from university, Andrew began working as a cameraman for the popular TV show Wonder World !, and after a couple of years he had no shortage of offers from film and television producers. In 1995, Andrew won his first-ever Australian Cinematographer Award for The Temptation of a Monk, and that same year he became world famous for his family film Babe: The Four-Legged ". Lesney 's unique style attracted the interest of Peter Jackson, who was looking for a cameraman for the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
