Cameron may return to the Terminator universe
Last month, we reported that Paramount had shelved the sequel and triquel to the blockbuster Terminator Genisys , which failed to meet the financial expectations of the Hollywood major. The bosses of the film company did not share their further plans for the franchise, leaving the future of the Terminator in a fog.The fan site SkynetsArmy with a link to an anonymous representative of Skydance , which currently owns the rights to the film series, reports that the following part “ Terminator "Can be removed by the creator of the sci-fi franchise - James Cameron . According to insiders, the director came up with the plot of the new film while working on the stereo conversion of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which is scheduled to be released on 3D screens this year. Cameron is ready to take an example from George Miller, who managed to breathe new life into his cult film series Mad Max.  James will have a chance to reclaim the franchise in 2019, but he may agree to lead work on the sixth " Terminator " before that deadline. If negotiations between the management of Skydance and the director are successful, the official confirmation of the return of the eminent filmmaker to the world he created may come this summer during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the release of “ Doomsday".  Representatives of Skydance declined to comment for now. Terminator fans may well wishful thinking as James Cameron will be busy working on new films in the Avatar universe in the next few years. According to the latest information from the studio of 20th Century Fox , the sequels of the highest-grossing film in the history of cinema will start shooting in two months.
