Ava Duvernay invited to the Marvel Universe
As it became known to the information portal The Wrap , the studio Marvel offered Ave Duvernay to lead the filming of one of their superhero films. While the director's chairs " Black Panther " and " Captain Marvel " remain vacant, but according to insider information, the first blockbuster is considered the most likely option.In the history of the Marvel cinematic universe, there has never been a single case in which a woman has directed a film. Patty Jenkins was at one time attached as a director to Thor 2: The Kingdom of Darkness, but then due to creative differences with the studio Patty this post left. The source says that Marvel has always planned to bring in an African American filmmaker for Black Panther . The role of the title character in the blockbuster went to Chadwick Boseman. Duvernay already has some experience working with superhero films - when she was a journalist, she was engaged in a promotional campaign for the second "Spider-Man".
