One of the most promising young directors of our time, Carey Fukunaga ("Jane Eyre"), has added another drama to his list of future projects. As reported by Collider , he will team up with Brokeback Mountain writers Diane Ossana and Larry McMurtry to create an as-yet untitled film based on true events. The story revolves around a heartbroken man named Joe Bell , whose 15-year-old gay son committed suicide in 2013 due to peer bullying. Filled with remorse and regret, immersed in the deepest depression, the father sets off on a journey across America, during which he tells everyone he meets about the consequences of bullying people with non-traditional sexual orientation. Six months after the start of his mission, Joe was killed under the wheels of a truck, whose driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel. Fukunaga will develop the project and take the director's chair. He is currently busy preparing for the filming of a large-scale adaptation of Stephen King's novel It. In addition, Carey has plans to work on the Alienist series about a serial killer with the skills of a psychologist.
