Mortal Instruments to Become a TV Series
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , ABC Family has given the green light to Shadowhunters , a series based on the book series " The Mortal Instruments " by Cassandra Clare.The channel decided to abandon the usual scheme with preliminary filming of the pilot episode, placing an order immediately for the full first season, which will consist of 13 episodes. Ed Decter ( Helix ) has been appointed as showrunner and executive producer of the drama. At the moment, the creators of the series have begun looking for actors to begin filming in Toronto in May.
