Casting: Finding Willis's Pet and Ferrell's Money
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian), Thomas Midlditch (The Naked Peppers) and Famke Janssen ("Hostage 3") is in talks to join Bruce Willis on the set of the unnamed action-comedy Mark and Robb Cullen.Together with the Cullens brothers, Nicolas Cartier, Zev Forman and Lauren Ford will take over the production functions of the project. In the center of the events of the new film will be a private detective from Los Angeles ( Willis ), whose life is turned upside down after a local gang kidnaps his beloved dog named Buddy .  Momoa claims to be the leader of that very gang, who eventually forces a private detective to carry out a couple of dirty assignments to free the pet. Midlditch plans to play the eccentric guy working with the main character, and Janssen will play the detective's daughter-in-law.  Jason Mantsukas ("The Dictator") has been cast in the comedy The House with Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell. The film, which will be the director's debut for Andrew J. Cohen, follows a negligent couple who wasted their daughter's college savings. Mantsukas will play the best friend of the protagonist, an avid gambling addict, who invited his friends to open an underground casino in order to quickly return the money spent.   Finally, Michael Shannon ("Man of Steel") and Carla Gugino ("San Andreas Rift") signed up for Bart Freundlich's drama Wolves . The main role in the film is assigned to Taylor John Smith. Events revolve around a budding basketball player ( Smith ), who, it would seem, has everything: a team captain's place, good grades, a girlfriend, friends. Only at home the guy has to put up with his father-gambling addict ( Shannon ), and the hero's mother ( Gugino ) at this time tries to somehow unite the family, forgetting about herself.
