Raid's English-language remake took a punch
The last thing we heard about the English-language remake of the acclaimed Indonesian action movie "Raid" , Patrick Hughes ("The Expendables 3") was appointed to the post of its director. The project was to be overseen by Screen Gems , and Taylor Kitsch and Frank Grillo were negotiating the lead roles. According to the resource Empire , Hughes and Screen Gems have refused to do the remake, and now all he holds on to is the production company XYZ Films .According to the source, the director was simply tired of waiting for him to be allowed to start filming, and he turned his attention to more promising projects. As for the film company Screen Gems , the reasons for its rejection of the new Raid are unknown.
