Star Wars Might Become a TV Series
Cinelinx shares rumors that Disney is working on a TV series based on the space saga Star Wars .George Lucas himself reportedly developed the idea for the television show even before the sale to Lucasfilm in October 2012. Disney is currently considering creating a series that would be as much a companion to the Star Wars franchise as Agents of SHIELD. ( Agents of SHIELD ) for Marvel MCU. According to insiders, in this project, Disney is using the same model that Ron Howard wanted to use for the film adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower. The television series is expected to air between feature films and will be linked to their events. Disney plans to retain the sets that were created for the seventh episode of the saga in the pavilions of the famous London studio Pinewood , which will not only significantly reduce the cost of creating the show, but also ensure its close connection with a film series.  Currently, Pinewood is preparing to work on the first spin-off of the saga. The studio's bosses are reportedly hoping to set an approximate timeline for each of the new films, in order to shoot the series between work on the third trilogy and the spin-offs.
