Kennedy: ”Han Solo's spin-off will be witty”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , the president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy shared new information about the upcoming spin-off of the space saga Star Wars >", The main character of which will be Han Solo . Comedy directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord led the film last month.“ Star Wars has always been famous for not spending a lot of time on character backstories, Kennedy said. -We want to keep this tradition. You shouldn't delve into the past, especially if the viewers themselves do not want to receive answers to some questions. You need to find good reasons to start working on solo albums of the popular heroes of the saga. The film about Khan will allow us to tell how he became the character that the audience fell in love with. The names of those involved in the creation of this tape make it clear that we are waiting for a fun entertaining film. All fans of the franchise know that Khan is a cool and witty hero. These are the qualities that his spin-off should have. ”  While some fans of the saga were disappointed with the childhood storylines of Anakin Skywalker and Boba Fett , Kennedy assured viewers that Disney >does not intend to repeat the mistakes of the prequel trilogy. “We don't want to show the ten-year-old Solo .In his film, Khan will feature young men in their twenties, ”noted Kathleen .  Kathleen also spoke about the progress of work on yet another spin-off, which Joshua Trunk left the director's chair in early May. “We still plan to tell this story, Kennedy stated. -Revolutionary technologies will be required to create the picture, and therefore the release date can be postponed from 2018 to 2020. We don't want to work in a hurry”. The as-yet-untitled Star Wars Anthology movie about Han Solo is slated to world premiere on 25 May 2018 .
