Mackenzie Davis entered politics
Actress Mackenzie Davis will appear in the political comedy Irresistible by former The Daily Show host John Stewart, who will not only direct the film, but also screenwriter and producer.In the film, a Democratic political consultant (Steve Carell) helps a retired Marine Colonel (Chris Cooper) become mayor of a small town in Wisconsin. Mackenzie Davis will play the role of the Colonel's daughter. The film also stars Rose Byrne as the main competitor of the GOP Marine. The political comedy will be Stewart's second directorial project. The director's first work was Rose Water, based on the memoirs of an Iranian journalist who was accused of spying for his coverage of the presidential election.  Davis' most famous project is considered the role of Katherine in the TV series "Stop and Burn." The actress has starred in such films as Blade Runner 2049, The Martian and Tully.
