Five directors to travel to planet Mandalore
We reported yesterday that The Mandalorian, the first live-action series from the Star Wars franchise, is officially in production at Disney. Today the directors of the upcoming show have become known: Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiva and Taika Waititi. Filoni, who was entrusted with the first episode, is familiar with the space saga firsthand - he directed half of the episodes of The Clone Wars animated series and produced Forces of Destiny. Waititi is considered the strongest director of the Marvel studio, behind whom the successful "Thor: Ragnarok" and the comedy in the genre of mocumentari "Real Ghouls" are behind him. Famuyiva directed the drama Narcotic, which received a nomination for the Grand Prix at the 2015 Sundance Festival.  Chow is famous for her work on television - she has directed countless episodes of TV series, including Better Call Saul, Mr. Robot, Jessica Jones and Fear the Walking Dead. Howard is a newcomer to directing, and she became famous for her acting in the Jurassic World franchise and the film The Servant.
