Will Guy Ritchie introduce Captain Britain to viewers?

Image While the list of Phase IV films in the Marvel Universe will almost certainly be kept under wraps until next summer, that doesn't stop Hollywood insiders from sharing rumors and speculations about the future of the popular superhero franchise. Aintitcool claims that Kevin Feige's studio is working on a comic strip about the adventures of Captain Britain.

At the end of last month we reported on the termination of the contract between director Danny Boyle and the producers of Bond 25. Since the management of the MGM studio had to urgently start searching for a new helmsman, information appeared on the World Wide Web that the filming of the film would be postponed indefinitely. According to Aintitcool, the creators of the new part of the Bond film really froze the project and even refused to book the pavilions of the Pinewood studio. Their place was allegedly immediately taken by the Marvel film company, which expects to hold a casting for the main roles in the film Captain Britain and the Black Knight in the famous London studio.

The superhero from Foggy Albion first appeared in the graphic novels of Marvel in 1976. Under the guise of Captain Britain was the scientist Brian Braddock, who received a rich set of amazing abilities from the legendary wizard Merlin.

Insiders claim that auditions for the film comics will take place in November and December of this year. Along with the casting experts, none other than Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock, Two Barrels) will also arrive at Pinewood. Information about the participation of the cult British director in the new Marvel project looks quite plausible. Although criminal dramas brought worldwide fame to Guy, in recent years he is very willing to take on the creation of blockbusters. What's more, Richie already has experience collaborating with the Walt Disney Empire on the game version of "Aladdin", which hits the screen next May.

Officials Marvel are in no hurry to confirm information about the preparations for the filming of the tape about Captain Britain. A couple of years ago, there were already rumors on the web that the studio might send this superhero to small screens. It is possible that Feige and the company revised their plans and decided to entrust Richie with the work on the film adaptation of the comics about Braddock's adventures.
