Serebrennikov in and around the flu
The notorious artistic director of the Moscow theater "Gogol-Center" Kirill Serebrennikov ("Summer") intends to film the novel by Alexei Salnikov "The Petrovs in the Flu and Around It". As it became known, Serebrennikov himself will write the script for the future film.The start date of filming, the working title and the composition of the crew are currently unknown. The film will be produced by USA film companies, as well as filmmakers from Switzerland and France. The second book by Salnikov "The Petrovs in the Flu and Around It" was published in 2016. The protagonist is a car mechanic Petrov, whose family members take turns getting the flu on the eve of the New Year holidays. A year after its publication, the novel was awarded the prize of the critical jury at the annual literary prize NOS (New Literature), and in 2018 - the National Bestseller prize.
