Bloodbath awaits Hellboy
When the Hellboy reboot was announced, the filmmakers argued that their version would be strikingly different from Guillermo del Toro's films, at least in that it gravitates towards the horror genre and borrows mythology from the original comics. The full Hellboy trailer, released last week, gave viewers mixed feelings. At the same time, actor David Harbor, who played the hero from hell, insists that the abundance of violent scenes and blood is what makes the new "Hellboy" a horror movie.“It feels like you're really killing someone, be they giants or monsters,says Harbor. -You chop off their heads, bathe in their blood, and have difficult feelings about ripping someone's heart out of their chest. ”The actor also added that Hellboy is both a killer and a weapon at the same time. Harbor's eerie scene can be seen in the Wild Hunt story arc, in which giants kill the attendees of a hunter's party. Hellboy decides to attack the giants and, in the heat of battle, arranges a real massacre. This event haunts the hero in the future, forcing Hellboy to wonder if such actions bring closer the day when the prophecy from which he fled all his life will come true.
