Woody Harrelson will become a psychiatric patient

Image In Woody Harrelson's career, there have been various projects: from blockbusters like The Hunger Games and Han Solo to the dramas People vs. Larry Flynt, The Messenger and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, for each of which the actor received Oscar nominations. Harrelson is no stranger to the image of eccentrics, so it is not surprising that as a new project he chose a film similar to the cult film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Harrelson is in talks to get the lead role in the new Ted Melfi (Hidden Figures). The project called Fruit Loops, like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, will tell about the eccentric inhabitants of a mental institution whose existence is threatened by the unexpected sale of the institution.

If all goes well, Harrelson will portray Colonel Leonard F. Cubby, a longtime Sunnyside hospital patient who suffers from chronic PTSD caused by endless trips to the Vietnam War, where he saw terrible things. A young drug addict, a hippie girl with multiple personality disorder, a kind and laconic giant, and a paranoid schizophrenic with religious hallucinations, recording her own vlog, will accompany the colonel in the struggle for a peaceful existence.

Before heading to the mental hospital, Harrelson will appear in the drama Midway and the comedy horror film Welcome to Zombieland II.
