Tom Wright's debut drama Walkaway Joe stars Oscar nominee and Golden Lion winner David Strathairn (Good Night and Good Luck), The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Julie Ann Emery ( Shepherd ") and Julian Feder (" The Community "), according to The Hollywood Reporter.The film will be Wright's first directorial project, starring in such films as "Dead End" and "Pentagon Wars", as well as in the TV series "Barber" and "Inhumans. The film tells the story of a young man named Dallas, who went in search of his fraudulent father who left his family. Dallas is determined to find him by all means and bring him home. During his quest, he meets Joe Haley, a vagabond with a dark past that he tries to forget. Joe, though reluctant, takes custody of Dallas, feeling responsible for the guy's safety. The script was written by Michael Milillo (Grey's Anatomy) and will also co-produce the project with Rachel McHale and Minor Childers (Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes).
