Good and bad versus evil

Image Sylvester Stallone is preparing another interesting crime-themed project. The Hollywood legend's production company will film the American version of the South Korean thriller Bandit, Policeman, Devil.

Balboa Productions went all-in and bought the rights to the remake of Lee Won-tae's film even before its official premiere. Stallone is unlikely to regret the decision, because the original already has one major achievement: almost simultaneously with the start of home distribution, the picture will be shown out of competition in the Midnight Screenings program of the 72nd International Film Festival in Cannes.

In the center of the plot of the novelty will be an influential gangster who survived the attack of a serial killer. To get on the trail of the offender, the bandit will have to call for an honest and decent policeman ...

Unlike the creators of most Hollywood remakes, Balboa Productions executives are not going to produce a complete cast of the film. Ma Dong-sok (Train to Busan) is expected to return to the role of the vengeful mafioso in the English version of the thriller. As for the roles of a policeman and a maniac, insiders are still at a loss to say whether they will go to American actors.

Sylvester Stallone's immediate plans also include shooting in the gangster drama Scarpa and creating a series about the New York criminal district of Tenderloin.
