Stellan Skarsgard will plot against Timothy Chalamet
Stellan Skarsgard has joined the cast of the film adaptation of Frank Herbert's science fiction novel "Dune", according to Variety. Timothy Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Dave Batista have already signed contracts for roles in Denis Villeneuve's film, which will begin filming in Budapest and Jordan this spring.Dune tells the complex story of the fall of a family of aristocrats trying to control the desolate planet of Arrakis, the only source of a rare substance used for space travel. Shalame will play Paul Atreides, the son of a ruler forced to flee to the wasteland and unite with the nomadic tribes. Stellan Skarsgard will embody the image of one of the villains, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, whose family previously ruled the planet and now hates the Atreides, therefore, together with the emperor, plans to destroy them. His hero is also the uncle of the brutal character Batista. Skarsgard, famed for his role as Eric Selvig from The Avengers and Thor and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, was recently featured in the sequel Mamma MIA! and The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
