Octavia Spencer meets the Hathaway witch
The new film adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel "The Witches" may get another Oscar-winning actress. Following Anne Hathaway to the village negotiating table, Octavia Spencer, who won an Academy Award for her supporting role in The Servant. Together with her, Jazir Bruno and Cody-Lee Istik will join the cast of the remake.In the center of the plot of the novel is a boy who accidentally stumbled upon a witch's sabbath and began to spy on him. He soon learned that the sorceresses decided to turn all children in the world into mice. Moreover, they will begin to implement their plan from him. Despite the fact that he is now a mouse, the main character at all costs intends to prevent the witches from carrying out their nefarious venture and for this he will unite with a group of people. If the negotiations are successful, Octavia will play the grandmother of the character Bruno. Anne Hathaway will embody the image of the main witch. The film boasts an impressive behind-the-scenes team, with director Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump) in charge and Alfonso Cuaron and Guillermo del Toro in production.
