Hollywood will stage a dance revolution

Image After the creators of the Step Up franchise set out to conquer China, the Dream Factory practically stopped pampering audiences with dance films. Young Hollywood studio Stampede Ventures is ready to fix this sad situation. According to Variety, the company of eminent film producer Greg Silverman (Edge of Tomorrow) has acquired the rights to create a film based on the Dance Dance Revolution video game series.

The first part of the famous franchise of the Japanese company Konami was released in 1998. Since then, she has received many sequels, spin-offs and clones for a wide variety of consoles. Particularly popular among fans are slot machines with dance platforms, with the help of which players have to step on different buttons to the beat of the music.

It looks like Stampede's management managed to squeeze the plot of a feature film out of a fairly simple arcade game. In the film adaptation Dance Dance Revolution, our planet will be on the brink of destruction, and the universal language of dance will be the only key to saving humanity.

The film will be fully supported by Konami. The film will be produced by Mark Markam (Miss Nobody) and J. Todd Harris (Jeepers Creepers).
