Critics argue that this is the kind of performance the DC Universe needed. Wang managed to create a real popcorn movie that will appeal to both 10-year-olds and those who remain a child at heart.  Outside the United States, Aquaman also has a loyal following - they took $ 410.7 million to his box office over the past three weeks. Almost the same amount earned abroad "Wonder Woman" for the entire stay at the box office and a little more "Suicide Squad" and "Justice League". So it's not in vain that Warner Bros. hoped that Aquaman would fix the situation in the DC Universe. For "Aquaman" in the top 5 was placed the musical "Mary Poppins Returns", which has mastered $ 22.2 million. Distributors hoped for more, but in general, the film's debut can be called successful, and in the future the tape should not have any problems. Like Aquaman, she received an A- rating from viewers and will certainly not give up on the holidays. It is worth remembering last year's "The Greatest Showman", which started relatively poorly, but eventually grossed $ 174.3 million at home and has not left the top five for eight weeks.  Reviewers praise Emily Blunt, who managed to make Mary Poppins sarcastic and tactful at the same time, as well as the duet of the actress and Lin-Manuel Miranda in every way. The picture by Rob Marshall, fortunately, resembles an old friend's visit and does not in the least resemble a project filmed to raise funds. The director has revived the classic story with a modern twist, and although the new Mary Poppins is similar in style and narrative structure to the 1964 film, it is still not a copy of it and boasts its own innovations. The blockbuster "Bumblebee" lost quite a bit to the musical: with the amount of $ 21 million, it is content with only the third place. Of course, Paramount could hope for more, because critics call Travis Knight's tape the best in the Transformers franchise. The film will have to work hard to recoup its $ 135 million budget, and so far even foreign viewers are in no hurry to help him with this. They gave Bumblebee $ 31.1 million, and the total of $ 52.1 million is far from the coveted level of self-sufficiency.  With an A-rated rating, the film series spin-off must vie for its place in the sun. Travis Knight has created a gripping story for which only a few Autobots were enough. Moreover, the action in the blockbuster is dosed perfectly, which sets the spin-off apart from the rest of the parts, where Michael Bay diverged in earnest. The only question is how "Aquaman", "Bumblebee" and the animated "Spider-Man" will divide the viewers among themselves.  The aforementioned cartoon "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" took fourth place, adding $ 16.7 million to its asset. So far, he has collected $ 64.8 million, and foreign viewers gave exactly the same amount for watching the tape. Analysts did not expect the film to lose more than half of its viewers, but again, this is due to high competition. Clint Eastwood's drama "Drug Courier" closes the top 5.
